Tai Chi with Linda Dohanos

The workshop will be guided by Linda Dohanos, a compassionate and nurturing instructor with over 30 years of experience teaching Tai Chi and other healing arts. With her gentle approach and deep knowledge, Linda creates an environment where participants of all ages and skill levels can feel comfortable, supported, and inspired to learn.

This introductory session will focus on the art of soft power; the ability to move with strength while maintaining fluidity and ease and the practice of Push Hands, a traditional Tai Chi exercise that develops balance, awareness, and sensitivity in movement. These techniques not only build physical coordination and strength, but also encourage relaxation, mindfulness, and a greater sense of inner calm. Whether completely new to Tai Chi or looking to deepen an existing practice, attendees will benefit from this enriching and grounding experience.

Participants are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing, flat shoes, and to bring water to stay refreshed throughout the session. The workshop is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of background or ability, and serves as both an introduction to Tai Chi and an invitation to explore its many benefits over time.

Following this inaugural gathering, Tai Chi workshops are planned to continue as a regular series, held on the second Sunday of each month. This ongoing offering will provide a consistent space for personal growth, community connection, and the deepening of Tai Chi practice.
